Heartbeat work is a gateway to our emotional world which we dive into with the instincts of a dancer, the mindfulness of a meditator, the courage of a warrior, and the compassion of a best friend. 

In this work we don’t solve our feelings as if they were problems, rather we explore our emotions as energy, as power, as part of being human. Through physical movement and awareness, old feelings that have been locked in our limbs or caged in our chest begin to shake loose; we give ourselves space and time to consciously embody them and allow them to move as waves of energy through our body . As we get comfortable with our vulnerability and feelings, neither hanging onto them nor pushing them away, we discover a treasure (in the) chest, which, once unlocked, offers a world rich with opportunities: a real connection with ourselves and others, a freshness of response, a spontaneity seasoned with wisdom and experience, and above all, a freedom to fully become a loving force of life itself.

Silvija Tomčik, was introduced 30 years ago to Gabrielle Roth’s teachings through her book Maps to Ecstasy. It was a powerful encounter, which motivated Silvija to begin searching for teachers of the 5Rhythms to begin her dancing path. Since then she has been organizing 5Rhythms workshops in Croatia bringing it for the first time to this part of the world. At the time she was working in the Center for Peace Studies and leading workshops on gender issues. She has finished Waves Teacher Training with Gabrielle in 2001., and in 2010. the Heartbeat Teacher Training. Silvija has been a part of the Teacher Training Staff with Jonathan Horan 2013-2020.  Silvija published her book WAVES: Voice and Vision, in collaboration with 20 artists. She teaches workshops using her imagination, great variety of music, her grounded way of dancing and her love for the freedom of being in the body to prompt people to discover their personal dance and healing movement. 

Prerequisites: 

20 hours of Waves or one weekend workshop.

This workshop counts as 5 days of Heartbeat level for Teacher Training

The workshop is taught in English with translation into Spanish.

Schedule:

This workshop begins on October 06 at 6:00 pm and ends on October 11th 01.00 pm, with the option of staying for lunch.

Workshop Prices: 

Full price is 415 Euro. Early booking price until 30.06.2026. is 370 Euro. Bookings with non-refundable deposit of 100 Euro.

5Rhythms teachers 325 Euro

Location: Amalurra, Artzentales, Bizkaia

The Amalurra hotel is located at the foot of Mount Kolitza, located in the middle from the countryside, 30 minutes from Bilbao airport. We will help you organize your transportation from the airport to the hotel.

Accommodation:Accommodation and food expenses are not included in this price and must be paid at the hotel upon arrival.
